"A huge thanks to you for doing such a fantastic job--and giving such insightful and perceptive answers. I felt very engaged the entire time.” Ben Williamson, Executive Director, Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative
Cover stories, features, service pieces, reviews, interviews, Q&As, Op Eds, multiple anthologies, author of a popular climbing manual, international reporting, and currently at work on a creative non-fiction manuscript involving multiple languages and cultures– Molly breadth of writing experience translates into a keen sense of where a story works, where it doesn’t, and the kinds of research, interviewing, and questions that help transform a piece.
Molly’s laid-back nature belies a strict eye for syntax and structure. The result is precision editing delivered with a balance of ruthlessness, kindness, and always oriented towards the project’s greater goals.
Molly’s toolkit of tips and tricks is based on experience and continuing education classes. Consultations may include strategies and software addressing every step of the writing process such as story development, researching, note taking, interviewing, working with translators, fixers, story structure, self-editing, story placement, and queries.
Molly is also available as a consultant for outdoor related content. The quickest way to lose a reader’s trust is making mistakes with subject matter. Fact checking with an expert is a quick way to avoid that trap.
In addition to manuscript coaching, Molly’s experience includes editorial, research, and copywriting projects such as resumes, essays, press releases, reports, manuals, presentations, scripts, ghostwriting, and books.
Molly is currently working on a Yale/Harvard universities collaboration related to COVID-19 and the online wildlife trade. In addition, she is editing a manuscript advocating for a paradigm shift in environmental studies and sciences pedagogy.
